Fumed and Brushed Engineered Character Oak Flooring 20mm - Sample

Our 180mm x 20mm engineered oak flooring comprises a 5mm top layer of solid French oak bonded, using a high quality D4 adhesive, onto a base of 15mm multi-layer plywood. This results in a hardwood floor that is far more tolerant to changes in temperature and relative humidity and displays little or no movement due to the cross bonding of layers. Our engineered oak retains the natural look and feel of solid oak flooring with the added benefit of strength and stability throughout. Due to its robust structural properties, our engineered oak flooring is ideal for installation in conjunction with under-floor heating systems.

Fuming is a chemical process which darkens the raw oak. Each board will react differently to the fuming process, producing a natural range of dark, medium and lighter shades; we recommend loose laying boards before fixing to achieve an even spread of colour tones. Likewise, separate batches of timber will also react differently to the fuming process, photographs on the website and samples are provided for guidance only - we can not guarantee an exact colour match.

Our samples are an excellent way to demonstrate the quality of machining and finish that you can expect from us, however please be aware that wood is a natural product and as such is subject to subtle differences in tone, grain pattern and knot sizes.
