Solid Oak Flooring

Our solid oak flooring is by far our most popular species of hardwood floor. With its distinctive grain and gorgeous tone, nothing compares to the beauty of real oak. Our solid oak flooring is supplied in single-plank wide boards (typically 185mm) or in a narrower board width (typically 140mm) if preferred. Our oak floors can be supplied unfinished or factory finished with Osmo Polyx Oil, a hardwearing finish with a natural satin sheen. If you love the beautiful grain of solid oak but prefer a lighter bare-wood effect, we also offer a range of Natural Oiled Solid Oak Flooring. This range is factory finished with Osmo Raw Effect Polyx Oil. This unique oil finish has a faint white pigmentation, designed to counteract the enriching effect of regular polyx oil. This results in a durable finish with an untreated-oak appearance.

Our solid and engineered oak flooring is manufactured from sustainably-sourced French Oak and available in a range of grades, shades and finishes to suit any interior design space. We now also offer Solid English Oak Herringbone Flooring which is supplied in traditional parquet blocks.

All our European Oak is sourced from the very best saw mills in France and every floor is carefully manufactured on-site here in the UK. Our boards are kiln-dried to an average moisture content of 8-11%, and are carefully stored, before and after machining, in our temperature-controlled factory. This makes our solid oak flooring compatible for use within a warm, dry property with no need for lengthy acclimatisation.

Our traditional floorboards are tongue and grooved on all four edges and are pre-planed before final machining. This results in accurately machined boards which are extremely straight, flat and a pleasure to fit. Mass produced imported oak flooring is not made, stored, or quality controlled to the same high standards as a British Hardwoods floor.
