A round edge skirting board machined from solid prime grade European Oak. The timber has a rich smoked tone and displays natural figuring and grain pattern with some small knots.
Important note: Fuming is a chemical process which darkens the timber in a natural way. Different boards and different batches of wood will react differently to the fuming process, and as such the timber will not have a uniform colour. Photographs on the website and samples are for guidance only - we can not guarantee an exact colour match. If you wish to obtain a uniform dark tone we recommend the use of a stain rather than fuming.
Our skirting boards are manufactured by our skilled craftsmen using the finest British and German wood-machining technology, ensuring your boards are precision perfect and easy to fit. All the wood we use is sustainably sourced from the best saw mills in France, Canada and the USA. The timber is kiln-dried to an average moisture content of 8-10% and stored, before and after machining, in our heated factory.
If you require a height not listed above please contact our Sales Office who will be happy to discuss your specific project. We can also machine matching architraves, door linings and floors to complete your installation.

- Surpassed our expectations
We ordered this to complement the Provincial Fumed Oak Flooring we had ordered (from the same company), and to replace our existing antique pine skirting at the same dimension. It arrived with the floor, and matched perfectly. Yet again, there was near to zero warping, even at 3m lengths. It has since been fitted and oiled (Osmo hardwax oil in Flat Matt), and finished with oak dowels to plug the screw holes. The patina is stunning, and along with the floor, has surpassed even our own (very demanding) expectations. Many thanks British Hardwoods. We'll be back in touch for our future projects!
