Aged & Distressed Solid Oak Flooring

It would take hundreds of years to achieve the time-worn appearance and aged patina of a naturally aged oak floor. If you are undertaking a restoration project or furnishing your home in a rustic, traditional style you might wish to complement this with a solid aged wooden floor.

Although you may consider buying reclaimed wood floorboards, sometimes these floors can require significant repairs to ensure that they are fit for purpose. Reclaimed wood floors can also have inconsistent moisture content from board to board - which has been known to cause installation problems. Our aged and distressed oak flooring can offer the benefit of new, structurally sound hardwood floorboards, combined with a rustic aged appearance. Our Tradition Aged and Distressed Oak Flooring is regarded as one of the most authentic aged wood floors presently available. The newly machined floorboards receive a combination of treatments which darken, distress and raise the grain of the wood to produce a truly genuine aged appearance.

If you like the rich, aged patina of dark oak boards, but prefer a smoother surface, our fumed and brushed oak floors could offer the perfect solution. Our aged solid wood flooring is popular for barn conversions and Victorian properties and has also been frequently installed in local hotels and inns to complement existing aged timber furnishings and wood panelling.
