Provincial Grade Solid European Oak Flooring - Sample
A stunning rustic solid wood floor displaying abundance of splits, checks and large filled knots. Our samples can be finished with clear satin hardwax oil or supplied unoiled if preferred. If you order unoiled samples, please be aware that the filler will darken significantly when finished. We use a durable resin filler in a 'black oak' shade which has a light grey appearance until sealed with an appropriate flooring finish.
Please Note: Due to the high postage costs when sending premium sized samples, we do levy a small charge. This charge is completely refundable should you ultimately decide to purchase one of our hardwood floors.
Our Provincial Grade Oak Flooring is machined from sustainably sourced European oak timber. The timber is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 8-10%, thus making it compatible for use within a warm, dry property. We pre-plane the boards before final machining which results in accurately machined floorboards which are extremely straight, flat and a pleasure to fit. Mass produced imported floors are not made, or quality controlled, to the same high standards as a British Hardwoods wood floor.
Our samples are an excellent way to demonstrate the quality of machining and finish that you can expect from us, however please be aware that wood is a natural product and as such is subject to subtle differences in tone, grain pattern and knot sizes.
