Sawn Air Dried Oak Beam
Our sawn air dried oak beams are supplied from stock and can be cut down to your preferred dimension. The beams have been air dried for five years, developing a natural aged appearance with characterful cracks and splits. The beams are rough sawn, rather than precision cut, so a tolerance of up to 10mm can be expected.
IMPORTANT: When ordering please be aware that oak beams are extremely heavy and you will need to be able to unload them. Our delivery vehicles do not have cranes or forklifts and the driver is not insured to unload the truck. You will need to provide your own offloading equipment or have sufficient physically capable persons present at delivery to facilitate the offloading process.
Resized Sawn Oak Beams
Our sawn air dried oak beams can be cut down to your preferred size for an additional charge, however, we do not cut any dimension to less than 100mm. Beams that have been cut to size, or sections that are not square, may have lighter coloured surfaces than other faces on the same beam that haven't been resized.
Due to stock availability, resized beams may not necessarily be cut down from beams with specific dimensions. Beam selection for resizing will take place by us, on site, at the time that we produce your order. We will not produce two (or more) sections from one single beam ordered and offcuts are not provided.

BHW Van (our own vehicle)
Delivery using our own van and driver for small beam orders up to a maximum length of 3.5m. When your order is ready, we will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery day. On the day of delivery, we will provide a delivery time-slot (usually when our driver is en route). Our van does not have lifting equipment, so there will need to be physically capable persons present at delivery to assist our driver with the movement of the beams.
Pallet Track (kerbside delivery)
Overnight kerbside delivery by an independent Pallet Track courier, using a palletised network of transport and 17.5 tonne vehicles.
When your order is ready, we will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery day. Pallet Track deliveries are “kerbside” and the wagons do not have lifting equipment or forklifts. The driver is not insured to unload the vehicle, so it is the customer’s responsibility to move the beams from the wagon to the property. It is essential that a delivery day is chosen when there are sufficient physically capable people present (potentially all day) to facilitate the offloading process. On the day of despatch, we will notify you to confirm that your order has been despatched. Updates regarding delivery windows and approximate delivery times are the responsibility of the courier.
Courier Delivery
Generally applies to small beam orders only.
