Please note: The timber is sawn and then sanded on one face only and is not machine planed. If you require fully planed, square edged timber please see our range of Planed All Round American Black Walnut. It is normal for thin wood to display a slight curvature across the width due to the natural movement of the timber.
Our Thin Sanded Black Walnut is sustainably sourced from the USA and manufactured to order at our factory here in Yorkshire. The timber can range from light brown to dark chocolate and purplish black with a creamy coloured sapwood. The slightly open grain is typically straight but can be curly or wavy. The boards are sawn and then sanded on one face and supplied in random lengths.
Our Thin Sanded Walnut is suitable for woodworking, furniture making, model making and crafts such as laser cutting, intarsia and luthiery.
