Please note: The timber is sawn and then sanded on one face only and is not machine planed. If you require fully planed, square edged timber please see our range of Planed All Round American Cherry. It is normal for thin wood to display a slight curvature across the width due to the natural movement of the timber.
Our Thin Sanded Cherry is sustainably sourced from the USA and manufactured to order at our factory here in Yorkshire. The timber can vary in tone from pale pinkish to reddish brown and generally has brown flecks and small gum pockets. There can be a marked colour variation between boards, with some displaying a contrasting cream-coloured sapband. The boards are sawn and then sanded on one face and supplied in random lengths.
Our Thin Sanded Cherry is suitable for woodworking, furniture making, model making and crafts such as laser cutting, intarsia and luthiery.
