Solid American Black Walnut Chamfered Skirting Board machined to the height of your choice in a standard 19mm thickness. The timber is a prime grade and has a dark, chocolate brown tone with a beautifully contrasting caramel sap band. Our skirting boards can be supplied unoiled or can be supplied factory finished with Osmo Hardwax Oil; a hardwearing finish with a natural satin sheen.
Our solid walnut skirting boards are manufactured by our skilled craftsmen using the finest British and German wood-machining technology. All the raw timber we use is sustainably sourced from the best sawmills in the USA. Our boards are kiln-dried to an average moisture content of between 9-11% and stored, before and after machining, in our heated and acclimatised factory. This ensures that the skirting boards you receive are precision machined and a pleasure to fit.
If you require walnut skirting boards in a height not listed, please contact our Sales Office who will be happy to discuss your specific project. We can also machine matching architraves to complete your installation.

When will my order be ready?
Our skirting boards and architraves are machined to order. A guide to our current manufacturing lead time is displayed underneath the main product title and price.
What lengths will I receive?
Orders of 1 or 2 metres will be supplied in a single length. Orders of more than 2 metres will be supplied in random lengths. These random lengths will typically be between 2.4 metres to 3 metres. However, there may be some shorter or longer lengths supplied depending on stock availability at the time of machining. We recommend adding extra onto your total combined length requirements to allow for wastage due to cuts.
Can I order set lengths?
As the raw timber we machine from is in random lengths, it is not possible for us to produce large orders in set lengths. If, as part of your order, you have a specific length or two that you would like to achieve without joints, we will try to accommodate this where stock lengths allow. Please Contact Us and we would be happy to advise.
Can you manufacture to sizes other than those listed?
We can machine to heights in-between those listed. To order online, select the nearest larger height and indicate your custom height at the end of the order process.
If you require a different thickness, please Contact Us as the practicality of this may vary, depending on the profile chosen.
Is your timber FSC certified?
All the raw timber we use is sustainably sourced from sawmills that are either FSC or PEFC certified.
How much is delivery?
The delivery charge depends on the total weight of the goods ordered and the delivery location. To calculate the delivery charge:
- Put all the goods you require into your shopping cart.
- Go to the shopping cart.
- Type your full delivery postcode in the 'Calculate Shipping' box and our website will calculate the accurate shipping charge for you.
Do you offer free delivery over a certain amount?
We feel that it is fairer and more honest to display delivery costs separately, rather than 'hide' them within the cost of our timber products. Transporting long lengths of timber around the UK is costly. The shipping price shown in the cart is the direct charge from the independent couriers we use.
Can I collect from your premises or arrange my own transport?
Yes – choose the “Customer Collect” option when placing your order. As soon your order is ready, we will contact you to let you know.
We use numerous ways to deliver our hardwood products all around the UK mainland. This includes delivery by our own vehicle (within a limited delivery scope), and also the use of independent couriers. The courier price is the direct charge from the couriers we use and is a weight-driven tariff based on the delivery location.
To calculate the delivery charge

Courier delivery timescales
The time taken for delivery by courier can vary depending on location. When your order is complete, we will email you to inform you of despatch. The courier will then contact you when they have collected your order from us, to inform you of the expected delivery day.
Storage information
Our skirting boards and architraves are manufactured from solid kiln-dried timbers and should not be stored in a cold, damp environment (e.g. garage, shed or outbuilding). On arrival at your property, the packs should be taken straight indoors into a dry, heated building. All concrete, plaster and wet work should be fully dried out prior to storage and/or installation.
