Our planed Cedar Battens can be used to create a durable and lightweight framework for our British Western Red Cedar Cladding. It is available in three sizes and supplied in lengths of 3.6m.
Our British Western Red Cedar is UK grown and is therefore a sustainable choice. British Cedar is more consistent in tone than its Canadian counterpart, and has a pleasing reddish-brown tone with golden amber hues. Our British Cedar is air-dried and therefore not appropriate for use indoors, where kiln-dried timber would be the better option.

Courier delivery timescales
The time taken for delivery by courier can vary depending on location. When your order is complete, we will email you to inform you of despatch. The courier will then contact you when they have collected your order from us, to inform you of the expected delivery day.
Natural Properties
- Low density and easy to work with.
- Stable with a low shrinkage factor.
- Contains natural oils and is therefore naturally waterproof.
- Resistant to rot, decay, and insects.
Fixings
Stainless Steel fixings recommended due to naturally occurring oils.
Finish
British Cedar is naturally waterproof so requires no finish. The timber will naturally silver over time if left untreated. To prevent the natural silvering of the timber, you could use Osmo Clear UV Protection Oil (requires re-application every 2-4 years - or when necessary).
