Band Sawn Classic Grade Solid Oak Flooring - Sample
A stunning, textured solid oak floor displaying a well-spaced scattering of natural figuring, small open knots (up to 25mm in diameter) and pip. The sample can be finished with clear satin hardwax oil or supplied unoiled if preferred. The knots can either be left open or filled with a durable resin filler. The filler we use is tinted in a 'black oak' shade and has a light grey appearance until sealed with an appropriate flooring finish. If you order unoiled samples with filled knots, please be aware that the filler will darken significantly when finished and will not be grey.
Please Note: Due to the high postage costs when sending premium sized samples, we do levy a small charge. This charge is completely refundable should you ultimately decide to purchase one of our hardwood floors.
Our Band Sawn Classic Grade Solid Oak Flooring is machined from sustainably-sourced solid European oak timber. After machining, the face of the boards are laterally sawn, creating a tactile, textured surface with a striking band-sawn appearance. The timber is kiln-dried to a moisture content of 8-10%, making it perfectly compatible for use within a warm, dry property.
Our samples are an excellent way to demonstrate the quality of machining and finish that you can expect from us, however please be aware that wood is a natural product and as such is subject to subtle differences in tone, grain pattern and knot sizes.
