Fumed and Brushed Engineered Classic Oak Flooring 20mm - Sample
A beautiful 20mm fumed and brushed engineered oak floor machined from sustainably sourced classic grade European oak. The timber has a rich dark tone with a distinctive grain pattern and a tactile, textured surface. Whilst most of the floor will contain minimal knots, some boards will display small filled knots and scatterings of pip, which enhance the natural beauty of the wood. The boards can be supplied with an optional hardwax oil finish or supplied unoiled - ready to take a finish of your own choice.
Please Note: Due to the high postage costs when sending premium sized samples, we do levy a small charge. This charge is completely refundable should you ultimately decide to purchase one of our hardwood floors.
Our 20mm Fumed and Brushed Engineered Classic Oak Flooring is machined from FSC certified European oak timber. After machining, the boards are fumed, a chemical process which darkens the raw timber. Each board will react differently to the fuming process, producing a natural range of dark, medium and lighter shades; we recommend loose laying boards before fixing to achieve an even spread of colour tones. Likewise, separate batches of timber will also react differently to the fuming process, photographs on the website and samples are provided for guidance only - we can not guarantee an exact colour match.
We are proud to be one of the very few companies who manufacture engineered hardwood flooring in the UK. Our 20mm Engineered European Oak flooring comprises a 5mm top layer of French oak bonded, using a high quality D4 adhesive, onto a base of 15mm multi-layer plywood.
Our samples are an excellent way to demonstrate the quality of machining and finish that you can expect from us, however please be aware that wood is a natural product and as such is subject to subtle differences in tone, grain pattern and knot sizes.
