Natural Raw Effect Oiled Oak Flooring Provincial Grade - Sample
Our Natural Oiled Classic Grade Oak Flooring is a distinctive pre-finished solid oak floor. Although the floor has an untreated, bare-wood appearance, the boards are fully factory-finished as standard with Osmo Raw Effect Polyx Oil. This unique product provides a durable finish with a natural organic appearance.
Machined from sustainably-sourced rustic oak, the boards display an abundance of splits, checks and large knots (up to around 75mm in diameter). All knots and splits are filled with a hardwearing black-oak tinted filler and sanded to a smooth finish.
Please Note: Due to the high postage costs when sending premium sized samples, we do levy a small charge. This charge is completely refundable should you ultimately decide to purchase one of our hardwood floors.
All our wood floors are manufactured to order, from the same batch of timber. All the raw timber we use is sourced from either PEFC or FSC certfied suppliers. The timber is kiln-dried to a moisture content of around 8-10% and kept at an ambient temperature in our heated and humidity controlled factory. We pre-plane the boards before final machining which results in accurately machined floorboards which are extremely straight, flat and a pleasure to fit. Mass produced imported floors are not made, or quality controlled, to the same high standards as a British Hardwoods wood floor.
Our samples are an excellent way to demonstrate the quality of machining and finish that you can expect from us, however please be aware that wood is a natural product and as such is subject to subtle differences in tone, grain pattern and knot sizes.
