Sawn and Brushed Air Dried Oak Wall Cladding
Our sawn and brushed air dried oak cladding can be used for interior walls and ceilings to create a rustic sawn wood feature.
The boards are approximately 10mm thick and supplied in widths typically between 125mm-200mm, depending on timber availability at the time of machining. The edges of the boards are not precision cut and therefore the width across each single board will vary (a tolerance of approximately 10mm across the width of each board can be expected). The board lengths are supplied random, but are typically between 2m-3m. The timber is a character/rustic grade European oak and has an abundance of natural knots and splits. The boards have a sawn and brushed finish, producing a tactile, textured surface with a rustic non-uniform appearance.
Our sawn and brushed air dried oak wall cladding boards are machined from solid FSC certified European oak. The timber is a character grade and contains plenty of natural features such as knots, splits and checks. Each board has its own unique contour which adds to the non-uniform appearance of the cladding by producing a variety of surfaces, shadows and shades. The timber is supplied unfinished and has a raw, organic appearance. If you prefer a richer tone and a subtle sheen, we recommend two coats of Osmo hardwax oil. This natural blend of oils and waxes can be applied easily on-site, once the boards are fixed in place.
PLEASE NOTE: The price of the boards is calculated on a bare-faced measure, you will need to add some extra on to your literal area requirement to allow for wastage. The boards are designed to be overlapped and not laid edge to edge. Wastage will vary depending on how much you intend to overlap the boards, and the effect you wish to achieve.
