Wood Cladding

Our Timber Cladding is the sustainable choice for your interior or exterior cladding project. Our Cedar Cladding is UK grown and can be used to clad your porch, garage or garden room. It can also be used to clad a wide range of other exterior or interior surfaces. Our Sawn and Brushed Air Dried Oak Cladding can be used to create an organic decorative surface for interior walls and ceilings. All timber for our wood cladding is sourced from FSC certified sawmills and machined here in the UK.

Cedar Cladding

Our range of British Western Red Cedar Cladding is UK grown and has a low carbon footprint. British Cedar is more consistent in tone than Canadian Cedar and has a reddish-brown tone with golden amber hues. British Cedar is also more affordable than its Canadian counterpart and provides a cost-effective cladding solution. Our Cedar Cladding is complemented by a our range of planed cedar battens and corner edge profiles to complete your installation.

Feather Edge Cedar Cladding
Cut on the diagonal to produce a tapered board which is designed to be overlapped when fitted. The boards have a characterful band-sawn finish. Our feather-edge cladding is supplied in boards of 3.6m long x 146mm wide and the profile tapers from 22mm-8mm thick.

Horizontal Planed Cedar Cladding
Machined with tongue and groove joints on the long edges and a planed finish. The boards are machined with a subtle chamfer which creates a pleasing visual horizontal overlap.

Vertical Planed Cedar Cladding
Machined with tongue and groove joints on the long edges and a planed finish. The boards are recessed to create a vertical drainage groove.

Our planed cedar cladding is machined with a tongue and groove joint on the long edges. The boards are 3.6m long x 142mm wide x 18mm thick. Once the boards are fixed in place, the cover width (exposed face) is 125mm. The timber is a rustic grade and contains frequent sound knots.

Why Choose British Cedar Cladding?

  • Paler but more consistent in tone than American Western Red Cedar.
  • Low carbon footprint - UK grown.
  • Lower price point - more affordable.

Properties

  • Low density and easy to work with.
  • Extremely stable with a low shrinkage factor.
  • Contains natural oils and is therefore naturally waterproof.
  • Resistant to rot, decay, and insects.

Recommended Fixings
Stainless Steel fixings recommended due to naturally occurring oils.

Treatment
Cedar Cladding is naturally waterproof so requires no finish. The timber will naturally silver over time if left untreated. To prevent the natural silvering of the timber, you could use Osmo Clear UV Protection Oil and re-apply when necessary.

Oak Cladding

Our sawn and brushed air dried oak cladding can be used for interior walls and ceilings to create a rustic sawn wood feature. The boards are approximately 10mm thick and supplied in widths typically between 125mm-200mm.
