Timber Sale

  • Timber Sale and Open Day - Saturday 8th February

Happy New Year to you all! After our lovely break at Christmas we are now well into the preparations for our upcoming Timber Shop Sale and Open Day. The show will be held on Saturday 8th February and promises to be the biggest and best yet.

We're thrilled that the inspirational Chris Fisher "The Blind Woodturner" has managed to squeeze us in to his busy schedule and will be joining us on the day. Chris lost his sight in 2008 and took up woodturning. Chris now travels around the UK demonstrating his skills and inspiring others to show them that anything is possible.

If you feel inspired by Chris, there will be local woodturning groups on hand giving demonstrations of their woodturning skills. They're a friendly group of people brought together by their combined love of wood - and would be very happy to chat and offer advice.

There will also be plenty of craft makers stalls, pyrography demonstrations, woodworkers suppliesClassic Hand Tools and of course our very popular Timber Shop Sale.

Refreshments will be available on the day, along with lovely homemade Chilli (veggie option available) served by Sam Conroy who is raising funds for his Tanzania Outlook Expedition Project.

We'll be providing lots more information about the individual exhibitors over the next couple of weeks. So, sign up to our Newsletter or follow our Social Media channels for updates.

  • Timber Shop Sale and Open Day - a Great Success

What a superb day we had last Saturday - welcoming customers old and new to our Timber Shop Open Day and Sale. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces meeting up and enjoying the opportunity to chat among fellow wood enthusiasts. Our timber sale was well received as usual - with just a couple of special offer packs left over at the end of the day.

We were supported by some wonderful exhibitors, who kindly displayed their talents and artistry for us. A huge thank you to all those who took part - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We have provided a full list below with links to their websites/Facebook pages which are certainly worth a look.

We were kept well supplied with refreshments by several family members who worked hard all day - thank you to Tracy, Sam and Millie. Sam Conroy is raising funds for his Tanzania Trip next year and, along with sister Niamh and friend Tom, provided us with 85 delicious hot dogs. If you shop online and would like to help raise funds for Sam's worthwhile trip, it's completely free and simple to do - just follow a link through Easy Fundraising to a website of your choice and make your purchase in the usual way - the company will donate a percentage of the sale to Sam's charity at no extra cost to you.

  • Important Open Day Information

Only two days to go! We are looking forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to our Timber Shop Open Day and Timber Sale this coming Saturday.

If you are a first-time visitor to our Timber Shop, a link to Google Maps can be found on the Contact Page of our website showing where we are situated. At the first roundabout within the business park, we will have two helpful parking assistants (in hi-vis jackets) who will direct you where to park. Our next door neighbour Beny Sports have very kindly offered to let us use their car park as an overflow if our own car park fills up.

The timber sale will follow the usual format and will include sawn and calibrated hardwoods and plenty of lovely native timbers. Please note: the sale does not include any manufactured items (e.g. flooring, skirting boards, casings, worktops etc.)

Our Timber Shop open days are special events which are only held once or twice a year at most. If you were hoping to visit our Flooring Showroom, or planning to collect an order, we would advise choosing an alternative day if possible, as our staff will be fully occupied with the timber sale on the day.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday!
