  • Annual Timber Sale - Saturday 7th December 2013

It's that time of year again! Now in its 8th year - our Annual December Timber Sale has become something of an event in the woodworking calendar. Held at our premises in Yorkshire, the sale starts at 9.30am, continuing throughout the morning. The timber, a mixture of rough sawn and planed, will be bundled into "lots" as usual - with plenty of bargains on offer.

This year looks like it could be the biggest and best sale yet. Just this week we have taken delivery of two (yes two!) lorry loads of lovely timber for the event, and hope to have more lots available this year than ever before.

Following the success of last year, we hope to have representatives from Mafell, Fein and Festool with us on the day providing tooling demonstrations and advice. The woodturning demonstrations by the West Riding Woodturners have also become a regular (and popular) feature. Complimentary refreshments will be served throughout the morning.

The sale is open to everyone - hope to see you there!

Please note: As this special event occurs only one morning a year, the sales/office team will be tied up with the sale throughout the morning. Our usual flooring showroom will be unavailable that day, and customers wishing to collect orders will probably find it easier to call prior to 9.30am.

  • Annual Timber Sale 2011

What a cracking day it was for a timber sale, selling over 300 lots of rough sawn and planed hardwood timber in just an hour! We also had members from the Birstall woodworking club hold demonstrations on woodturning techniques, which is always a big hit with our keen hobbyists.

This year we decided to add a new format to the sale by running a silent auction, with all profits from the auction going to the Sue Ryder foundation. The format was a resounding success raising £350.00 from the auction!

For all you woodworking enthusiasts, it's an event not to miss as you can grab some serious bargains in various hardwood species from European and American Oak, American Black Walnut, English Walnut and Yew are just to name a few.

Don't worry if you missed the event, as we'll continue to update our website and blog with updates on our next sale. Although, you don't need to wait a whole year for the sale, just visit our online shop for some great deals.

Thank you to everyone that came along to the sale and a special thanks to customers who participated in the silent auction.
