This weekend, we'll be cheering on our friend and work colleague Arron, who'll be running the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday. Arron has chosen to run for Mind Leeds, a charity close to his heart.

My main reason for taking this on is to raise money for a brilliant charity who helped me when I needed them. I want to give something back, they deserve it. I've suffered with anxiety most of my life. Toughest thing for me was asking for help/opening up after years of keeping everything to myself and trying to deal with it on my own, I got the help I needed a few years ago and I'm in a better head space but many others are still suffering, that is something I want to help with.

Leeds Mind supports the people of Leeds and the surrounding area to discover their own resources to 'recover' from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition. 1 in 4 people experience mental health difficulties in their lives. Whether that be depression, anxiety, isolation, stress, self harm, personality disorder, bereavement or any other negative mental health experience.

Arron's fundraising has already got off to a great start and we'd love to give him an extra boost for this very worthwhile cause. To read more about Arron's very personal reasons for running this Sunday, please follow the link to Arron's Fundraising Page >>
